New EVOLVE 2019 session to teach how to take back your margin

Australian event industry conference Evolve comes to Brisbane for its 2019 edition, 31 March-2 April, and has announced a session on increasing profitability – ‘Take Back Your Margin!’.
EVOLVE 2019 will stage the interactive experience offering business owners, senior managers and account directors, the opportunity to calculate where, why and how much profit, they are unintentionally losing in their business. Organisers say the session will them how to get it back.
Presenter of this session, Paul Allen (pictured), Managing Director of Margin Partners, is a leading authority on supplier margin and author of Take Back Your Margin! For over 25 years, he has been immersed in business-to-business categories, from beer to pies and paper to glass, helping organisations to unlock value with their contracted business partners. With a focus on up-selling and cross functional cost control, Allen will demonstrate to B2B suppliers how to “give customers everything they want on your terms, not theirs”.
Meeting and Events Australia’s CEO, Robyn Johnson stated: “If you’re a supplier in the Asia Pacific region who is struggling to maintain and grow your operating margins, whilst ever encroaching procurement teams stretch your resources with new demands, Paul could well become the most valuable resource you have on your team. He routinely helps clients reclaim upwards of 15% of their customer specific net margin entitlement – profit that would otherwise be lost or silently absorbed as an unfavourable ‘operational variance’.”
Allen commented: “If you believe the lifeblood of your business lies in the certainty of long-term customer contracts, then my insights will compel you to rethink your ‘true cost to serve’. I will expose the fallacy of over-servicing and invite suppliers and business owners to contemplate how they may be inadvertently relinquishing millions of dollars every year by failing to monitor customer specific net margin.”
Johnson added: “The line-up of speakers and their topics [at EVOLVE 2019] will once again provide the opportunity for delegates to stay at the top of their game and ensure that Australia maintains its enviable reputation as a leader in the events field globally”.
